adolescent acute care
The 19-bed adolescent acute care unit at Children’s Hospital cares for non-critical patients ages 14 to 21, making it the only dedicated unit in the Inland Empire designed just for adolescent patients.
A Suitable EnvironmentDécor and colors were chosen with these teen patients specifically in mind, implementing soothing color schemes and a clean, laid-back environment. This special unit gives teens the opportunity to socialize with peers who are experiencing some of the same challenges as themselves and to participate in other opportunities that help fulfill our mission of providing “whole person care.”
Our StaffOur team of healthcare providers recognizes adolescents’ special challenges and wellness needs, and is committed to addressing teens on their terms. Staff members are also specially trained and educated to help teens prevent and treat a wide range of health-related issues such as substance abuse, self-mutilation and eating disorders.
