Destiny Rodriguez – Dancing Diva
I never miss a beat with my new heart
Salsa. Cha Cha. Hip Hop. Seeing Destiny on the dance floor, you wouldn't know she received a heart transplant when she was just a few weeks old. After her birth, Destiny's doctors gave her only two days to live. But when she came to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, we gave her a new heart. Twenty-five years ago, our heart team, led by Dr. Leonard Bailey, became the first in the world to perform infant heart transplants. Today, we're still helping kids grow up to live their dreams, just like Destiny.
